Note: The title of the post is deliberately kept as Blackwash, since it is analogous to the victory by W'Indies in 1976 where they clean-swept England 5-0 in the test series.

On 25th February 2006, Bollywood was witness to a historical moment at the 2006 Filmfare Awards. All the top eight awards (including Best Movie, Actor, Actress, Director and also the critics awards) were won convincingly by the 2005 Bollywood block-buster BLACK.

I personally feel that BLACK was an off-the-beat type of movie; much different from the usual Hindi flicks and also much better than movies directed by the Johars and the Chopras. BLACK deserved to be sent to the Oscars as the Foreign Film nomination from India rather than Paheli. Unfortunately, in the Hindi Film industry, it is mostly favoritism and not performance that weighs more!

I ain't wasting time no more for my first step in the world of (b)logs. I have no idea why it took ages for me to start blogging!!
Philosophically, maybe because nothing happens before or after the time it is meant to happen.
I hope to spend more time blogging now...
